Design Concept

SGT-700 for Power Generation and Mechanical Drive: up to 30.10 MW

The SGT-700 is a twin shaft machine with eleven compressor stages. The first two stages have variable guide vanes. To optimize power output, the power turbine is equipped with advanced profile blades that improve gas flow. Direct drive of pipeline or process compressor is provided for by the free high-speed power turbine, eliminating the need for a gearbox. Its overall design ensures easy service access to the combustor and burners. The combustion chamber is of annular type and includes 18 burners. The inner surface of the combustor has a thermal barrier coating that reduces the level of heat transfer and extends the lifetime. The uprated machine has full Dry Low Emissions (DLE) capability, providing low NOx levels. It can operate on both gas and liquid fuels with on-line switchover between fuels.

Power Generation Package

The SGT-700 is available as a skid-mounted package with single-lift capacity. It is easily transported, installed and maintained at site. The package incorporates the gas turbine, gearbox, generator and all systems mounted on a single underbase. Turbine controls, generator control panel, motor control center for package motors and variable speed drive for starter motor are normally also package-mounted.
