03/01/2008 | After a construction period of only 26 months the combined cycle power plant Bugok II in South Korea was put on line about one month ahead of schedule in March 2008. With the additional capacity of 565 megawatts (MW) of Bugok II the total installed capacity of Siemens in South Korea is roughly 10,996 MW. In addition to Bugok I and II Siemens has also supplied Incheon I and Yulchon combined cycle power plants since 2002. The Incheon II plant is currently under construction. The power plant Bugok II has an efficiency of 58.6 percent. It is the most efficient and environmentally friendly power plant in South Korea.
