“Best Environmental Plant of the Year” Award for Kuo Kuang Combined Cycle Power Plant

Charlton Media, a leading Asian media group, awards outstanding achievements to companies from the power sector. The Asian Power awards serve to recognize the industry players in Asia whose efforts have stood out over the past year.

Kuo Kuang combined cycle power plant (CCPP) in Taiwan received the price in the category “Best Environmental Plant of the Year”.

Kuo Kuang CCPP is situated southwest of the capital Taipei and has a capacity of 460 megawatts. It is owned by the private power generation company Kuo Kuang Power Company Ltd. Siemens PG delivered two SGT6-4000F gas turbines, a steam turbine and the generators and constructed the power plant turnkey. The plant is operated and maintained by Siemens for a total duration of 14 years.
