Gas Injection Compressor package for gas injection project Gas produced from a well can be re-injected into the reservoir. One of the main reasons to do so is if there is no local infrastructure to export the gas to other destinations, and flaring is not permitted. Injecting the gas back into the reservoir will also increase the oil production. Turbocompressors are used to boost the gas pressure.
The required gas pressure depends on the pressure and depth of the field. Typically, the pressure is between 200 and 300 bar (2,900 - 4,500 psi), but for extreme cases, it can go up to 800 bar (11,500 psi).
Siemens contributes with:
- More than 25 years of experience in gas injection applications
- Siemens-developed programs that reliably predict rotor dynamic behavior in all kinds of machine configurations
- With these capabilities, the interaction between compressor performance and process requirements leads to the highest efficiencies
